Remedial Conservation of contemporary sculpture
The project gave me a unique opportunity to discuss the treatment and approach with living artist before conservation. we were able to discuss the materials used, and how surfaces were prepared, which allowed treatment to flow. Areas of loss were filled, sanded, polished and retouched using identical materials to the original.
