Terracotta Figures

A Collection of terracotta figures representing costumes occupations and religious sects of Indian society, c. 1850 . Its believed the group were brought back by members of the MacGeough Bond family following a trip abroad.

These figures, designed as souvenirs, are reminders of the relationships which developed between India and the West based largely on trade, and resonate with India's colonial history.
