With over 25 years of experience, I work with museums, historic houses, and private collectors to develop tailored strategies for collections care. This includes environmental monitoring, storage advice, handling guidance, condition surveys, and pest management planning.
The aim is to create stable, well-managed conditions that protect objects from future risk, while supporting the ongoing care and accessibility of collections for generations to come.
Project Management
I provide specialist project management for conservation and heritage-based projects, ensuring every stage is delivered with precision, care, and conservation-led decision making.
With over 25 years of experience working across museums, historic houses, and private collections, I manage projects from initial assessment through to completion, coordinating conservation requirements alongside contractors, curators, and stakeholders.
This includes planning and documentation, risk assessment, on-site supervision, scheduling, and ensuring all work meets best practice in conservation standards, health and safety, and compliance.
My role is to ensure that conservation remains at the centre of every decision—protecting the integrity of objects, buildings, and collections while delivering projects efficiently and to the highest standard.
Training
Remedial conservation focuses on the careful treatment and stabilisation of objects that have already suffered damage or deterioration. With over 25 years’ experience, I provide sensitive, ethical interventions for ceramics and glass, ensuring each piece is treated with respect for its history, materials, and original craftsmanship.
All work is carried out to the highest professional standards, with a strong emphasis on minimal intervention and full reversibility. Treatments are tailored to the individual object and may include cleaning, consolidation, structural repair, gap filling, reconstruction, and retouching where appropriate.
Whether working with museum collections, historic interiors, or private pieces, the aim is always to stabilise, preserve, and where possible, visually reintegrate the object—ensuring its longevity while maintaining its integrity and authenticity. Our remedial conservation services include specialist treatment across a range of historic materials.
I deliver specialist training in ceramics, glass, and collections care for museums, heritage organisations, and conservation teams.
With over 25 years of professional experience, my training is practical, accessible, and grounded in best practice. Sessions are tailored to the needs of each team and can cover object handling, preventive conservation, condition assessment, documentation, and environmental care.
The aim is to build confidence and knowledge within teams, supporting the long-term care of collections and ensuring that objects are handled and preserved to the highest standards.
I also contribute to professional development within the sector through mentoring, workshops, and involvement in conservation panels and working groups.
